Nscale and Nordkraft Enter Strategic Partnership to Support Data Center Operations in Narvik

Nscale and Nordkraft have established Nordscale Operations AS, a jointly-owned company that will manage data center operations in the Narvik region. 

Nordscale will begin operations in 2026, creating local jobs and long-term career opportunities in the Narvik region.

Narvik, Norway, 6 July 2026 – Nscale and Nordkraft have entered into a strategic partnership establishing Nordscale Operations AS – a jointly-owned entity that will manage data center facilities at Nscale’s AI data center in the Narvik region. 

The two companies have been partners since the start of the Narvik data center development project in 2025, with Nordkraft delivering operational services during the construction phase. Nordscale formalises that partnership, bringing together Nscale’s global AI infrastructure experience with Nordkraft’s regional expertise to deliver reliable, efficient, and sustainable data center operations.

Nordscale will begin operations in 2026. The company will be recruiting for several operational and management roles in Narvik across facilities, technical and corporate functions including mechanical, HR and HSE, with current vacancies listed on the website

Supporting Local Businesses and Industry

In addition to creating new direct employment opportunities, Nordscale will plan to work with local and national businesses on data center operations and facilities management, including catering, cleaning, logistics, landscaping, snow removal, maintenance, and specialist technical services. As a result, Nordscale is expected to create economic benefits across the Narvik region.
