About the Role (Job Purpose)
The Facility Technical Manager will lead the technical services of a large-scale data center campus in Narvik, spanning two buildings (25MW and 75MW). This campus is at the forefront of delivering critical infrastructure to one of the world’s largest organisations, supporting the rapid evolution of AI technologies.
Operating within a complex and fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of all electrical and mechanical systems. With significant expansion planned, this role offers the opportunity to influence both current service delivery and future growth, playing a key part in developing infrastructure capability at scale.
What You’ll be Doing (Responsibilities)
- Lead technical data center services across electrical and mechanical systems
- Plan, prioritise, and manage both planned and reactive maintenance schedules
- Ensure safe systems of work and full H&S compliance across staff and subcontractors
- Lead technical emergency response and critical incident management whilst supporting the Major Incident Manager
- Lead development of site procedures and documentation including standard and emergency operating procedures
- Oversee contractors, ensuring compliance, documentation, and performance standards
- Lead defect identification, reporting, and resolution across infrastructure
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and QA of all building services
- Manage subcontractor design reviews and installation quality
- Drive cost optimisation, procurement decisions, and supplier negotiations
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and audit-ready documentation
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
- Support new build, expansion, and handover phases

Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in data center operations (hyperscaler or AI preferred)
- Strong expertise across both electrical and mechanical infrastructure commissioning, QA, and infrastructure delivery
- Proven leadership experience in mission-critical environments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and technical teams
- English speaking and writing skills is desirable
