About the Role (Job Purpose)

The Electrical Technical Expert will serve as the leading authority on electrical systems within a high-growth data center campus in Narvik (25MW and 75MW). This facility supports critical infrastructure for one of the largest global organisations driving the AI revolution.

In this role, you will ensure the performance and efficiency of cooling and mechanical systems that are essential to data center technical services. As the campus expands, you will have the opportunity to influence system design, optimisation, and operational strategy, supporting increased capacity and evolving technical requirements.

What You’ll be Doing (Responsibilities)

  • Act as the subject matter expert for all electrical systems
  • Support operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical infrastructure
  • Support development of site documentation and procedures relating to electrical systems
  • Oversee commissioning, testing, and certification of electrical systems
  • Be responsible for the operational reliability of all site electrical systems
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to internal teams and contractors
  • Identify defects and lead technical resolution strategies
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Identify opportunities for system optimisation and efficiency improvements

  • Strong experience in data center environments (hyperscaler or AI preferred)
  • Deep expertise in electrical systems (HV, LV, UPS, switchgear, generators, distribution)
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex electrical issues
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices
  • Experience supporting commissioning, upgrades, and maintenance
